To get you spooked for Halloween...

One of our models Militza Radmilovic, is starring in a new horror film "FIRED"

"Joy Mittal, the arrogant CEO of H.W.L.S, in a hardnosed decision to repair his scandal ridden work record and prove his ability to emerge as a pioneering leader in times of financial crisis, fires all the employees from his London office to cope with the financial slowdown. Amongst the sacked employees is Ruby Herminson, 29, an alluring, sophisticated, career-driven with whom, a married Joy is having a long affair. Joy fires Ruby along with the rest of the people he considers expendable. After a trying day, Joy decides to finish off some paper work before heading home, but soon realizes that the only possible means of leaving is the one he least bargained for. Cornered in a deserted office, Joy soon realizes that there is a gruesome super-natural force in the building, which is hell-bent on extracting revenge for his ruthless actions. FIRED is the shocking tale of a man who pays a steep price for his cold-blooded actions."

Guy Kushi

Photographer Guy Koshi opens his website with a video of Luda...

There's No Other Place Like This Place Anywhere Near This Place, So This Must Be The Place

I think the image on the invite is enough to tempt us to this opening...

If it isn't.... here's Thomas Giddings own view on the exhibition...

"The show brings together photographs as well as moving image that document a 4,000 mile trip across North America through states including Oklahoma and Arizona, down Route 66 and ending in Los Angeles.  Intimate records of the journey are presented alongside work that explores the American vernacular, its landscapes and inhabitants, reflecting the simultaneous experience of newness and alienation that is inherent in travel."

As Models.com puts it....

Baby Daddy! Alex Loomans & Reid Prebenda find their maternal side for this  Out Magazine shoot...

My Oh My...

I think everyone at FM had a surge of pride when we saw these pictures of Sadie Newman on the Burberry website. She really is one to watch!

The new girl in town

I am in awe, utterly speechless and admitedly a little bit jealous of a certain 13 year old girl! When I first heard about this prodigy I was somewhat sceptical about how someone so young could have such an impact on the older generations. Not only has she had an impact, she's respected and adored. I have to be talking about Tavi of course!
Her first blog was on the 31st March 2008 and since then she has blogged her way to the big time! Appearing in Pop Magazine & Love Magaine. She took a week off school to attend every major show at New York Fashion week with her dad waiting in the car outside. Tavi's definately keeping it real!

Sensuality

Here's Bastian for the new Cerruti Fragrance, Sensuality.

Its a Fashion Revolution at Somerset House

Since launching nine years ago, Nick Knight's fashion website SHOWstudio.com has pioneered the most imaginative and exciting forms of fashion for the Internet. These have both informed and inspired the current fashion revolution. In championing the new medium of fashion film in particular, SHOWstudio.com has harnessed the potential of new technology and the Web to completely reinvent the fashion image and the way we experience it. Be a part of this exciting revolution and head to Somerset House. On selected dates visitors will be able to watch a live photo-shoot with Shona Heath & Tim Gutt, date tbc, & watch a British Vogue cover shoot with the man himself Nick Knight. So so SO exciting!

Fräulein

Ellen Von Unwerth was modeling before half of the world knew what the term meant. She's gone on to create a steady, respected and somewhat fabulous career as a Fashion Photographer. The Fräulein Book & Exhibition shows some of her work from the past 15 years, many of the images unpublished. Each image shot beautifully, provocatively and with undeniable sex appeal, this is an exhibition you shouldn't miss. Espescially as the signed "Fräulein" books  have been limited to 1500 copies being published. You will not get a second chance to look in awe at Von Unwerth's photographs!

The exhibition will be showing at the Michael Hoppen Gallery, SW3. October 22nd to November 21st.

What the Vogue blog says....

Vogue has a thing or two to say about our show packs!

VIP Plectrums

Our friends over at Ben Sherman are auctioning off plectrums used by the likes of Bob Dylan, Paul Weller, Radiohead & Kings of Leon... All proceeds will go to Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy with the exception of funds raised from the Singapore bands - Astreal, Electrico, Fire Fight, Force Vomit, Leeson, The Amps, Concave Scream and Lunarin plectrums which will go to the Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund.

"Inspired by the Ben Sherman musical heritage and plectrum logo, the auction is a celebration of iconic artists and their plectrums, with all proceeds going to charity.
Each band's donation, together with the hand written message that accompanied it, will be beautifully presented in a frame to create a very special piece of memorabilia."

The Biannual Bible's

The bi-annual's are out, and boy oh boy! FM men's division has pretty much stolen the show! Starring (from top to bottom) Ollie Edwards in GQ style, Tafari & Matt Hitt again in GQ style, Ryan H & Dorian in Arena Homme +, Yuri in Another Man, Lenz, Bastian, Julien & Alex Loomans in Man About Town, and lastly Artur D in Another Man.

Rest In Peace

Irving Penn (1917-2009) has passed away, aged 92, at his Manhattan home. He was and will continue to be one of few, hugely influential Fashion Photographers. He started his career in 1937 as an unpaid design assistant at Harper's Bazaar and worked his way up the ladder. He enjoyed a career working with the most beautiful, powerful and iconic people of the past 100 years.

Oh Ginta

Strutting her stuff over in the big apple is Ginta. She walked for everyone this NY Fashion Week!

Speaking of Kaya....

PPQ chose her for a quick insight into the models world!

"Held during London Fashion Week Spring/Summer, Red Bull Fashion Factory (September 19 – 21), is an inspirational space where established designers such as Vivienne Westwood and PPQ will showcase their work alongside emerging talent such as Felder Felder and Hannah Marshall, providing a platform for cutting- edge creativity, as well as valuable exposure for new design talent. The project, creatively developed by Red Bull and My Beautiful City, aspires to set a new benchmark in British Fashion by offering much-needed support, allowing design talent to creatively flourish. The backdrop for the three-day event will see the transformation of the Old Sorting Office, High Holborn, into a high-tech show space and interactive gallery named The Hub, which will host a series of Q&A sessions with designers, live runway feeds and showcases from emerging photographers and artists."

Now for the girls...

Keeping it short & sweet, we had Ursula in town and walking exclusively for Christopher Kane!

And Kaya walking for PPQ (who's collaboration with Addidas has created great excitement here at FM!)

Now that its over.....

We can look back in wonder. Fashion Week that is! Here's a quick update on our boys strutting their stuff. The girls are coming soon!
